Throughout the school year, you may need to review or make changes to your classroom inventory within Eduthings.
In this article, you'll learn ways teachers have access and management over inventory items.
- Using the Inventory Search
- Creating new inventory items
- Editing inventory items
- Making a purchase request for classroom inventory
Using the Inventory Search
The Inventory Search is available by clicking Inventory on the top navigation menu.
The filters provide an easy and powerful way to zero in on what you are searching for.
You can search for the basics on this main screen, including:
- Asset number
- Serial number
- PO number
- Asset Name
- Teacher
- Campus
If you want a more directed search, you can click on Advanced Search.
Creating new inventory items
It's important to note, not all districts allow teachers to enter new inventory items into Eduthings. If you are not able to follow the instructions to create new inventory items, please contact your district's CTE Director with your request.
Teachers can create new inventory items by clicking Inventory on the top navigation menu.
The New Item button will be located at the right-side of the screen above the Inventory Search.

Editing inventory items
Still under Inventory from the main navigation bar, teachers can also provide an inventory check to update the status on existing inventory items recorded in Eduthings.
The Pencil icon will be located on the far right side of the screen, beneath the Inventory Search.
You may need to scroll right to see this next to the green Update Status button.
