Verify Your Certifications Offered

During your subscription's onboarding calls, your administrator shared information on certifications offered and this was loaded into your district's Eduthings subscription. As CTE teachers begin using Eduthings, we recommend you review this information each semester so it is accurate and aligns with the Industry Based Certifications (IBCs) you plan for students in your courses to take.

In this article, teachers will learn how to review their certification entries, and as needed, add and remove certifications to maintain it's accuracy.

Click on the Student Certifications on the top navigation menu.

You'll see all the IBCs offered for the students in your courses.

 

From here, you can edit or remove the recorded student certifications taken with the Pencil or Trash Can icons.

If you have many, you can always move to the second page or update how many you want shown on the page for your review.

If you need to add a certification exam you'll offer, click the Add button.

Finally, and very important at the start of your school year and when your semester-long courses have switched over, how to verify the certifications available and offered in your courses.

Click on the Add button.

Click on Manage my certifications link.

The Manage Certifications box will provide a drop-down for you to select all the certifications you can offer students this year. Be sure to scroll through for the whole list!

If any certifications you plan to add are not in this list, please reach out to your CTE Director.

• If all your certifications offered are selected, you're all set reviewing!
• If you had to make any chances on the Manage Certifications box, don't forget to click the Save button.
• You can also remove certifications on this screen, as needed. We don't recommend teachers remove certifications in regular semester-to-semester review of their accounts. Typically we normally would only recommend removing certifications if they are no longer offered at your district or you will no longer be teaching a course related with that certification for more than a school year.
